Actualité de l’Observatoire des discours idéologiques sur l’enfant et l’adolescent

L’Observatoire des discours idéologiques sur l’enfant et l’adolescent émane d’un collectif pluridisciplinaire qui souhaite mettre en garde les professionnels de l’enfance sur l’impact des réseaux sociaux et du militantisme.

Nous souhaitons inviter parents et professionnels à questionner les pratiques qui en découlent, en particulier celles qui peuvent avoir des impacts durables et même irréversibles sur la santé et l’existence des enfants, sujets en devenir.

Nos premiers travaux portent sur le diagnostic de "dysphorie de genre"

TAVISTOCK : ANATOMIE D’UN SCANDALE EN COURS

Un des plus grands services pédiatriques mondial spécialisé dans la dysphorie de genre, le GIDS (Gender Identity Development Service) logé au sein de la Tavistock Clinic spécialisée pour les enfants, adolescents et familles [1] doit fermer au printemps 2023. Il aurait administré des bloqueurs de puberté à plus de 1 000 enfants dès l'âge de neuf ans.

Selon un livre à paraître en Grande Bretagne de la journaliste de la BBC Hannah Barnes, la clinique Tavistock a ignoré le fait que 97,5 % des enfants souhaitant changer de sexe étaient atteints d'autisme, de dépression ou d'autres problèmes qui auraient pu expliquer leur souffrance.

35 % des enfants adressés au GIDS étaient autistes, alors que seuls 2 % le sont dans la population globale.

Ni GIDS ni les endocrinologues qui prescrivent les bloqueurs de puberté ne souhaitent donner les chiffres précis sur le nombre d'enfants traités. Toutefois entre 2014 et 2018, 302 enfants âgés de 14 ans ou moins ont reçu des bloqueurs de puberté. Il est généralement admis maintenant que les bloqueurs de la puberté affectent la densité osseuse et potentiellement le développement cognitif et sexuel.  « Tout était là – tout. Mais les leçons n'ont jamais été apprises », dit Barnes.

 

L'Observatoire de la petite sirène a publié une tribune tout début septembre 2022 dans l’Express pour réagir à la publication par le National Health Service (NHS), le système de la santé publique du Royaume-Uni, d’un rapport sur les dysfonctionnements de GIDS, suivi par l’annonce de la fermeture au printemps 2023, de ce service.

Il est toujours possible de devenir membre de l’association en y adhérant. Devenir membre permet de soutenir doublement les travaux de l’Observatoire : le nombre de membres permet de donner une légitimité supplémentaire à l’association notamment dans ses prises de position. Et les fonds récoltés permettent de mener des actions indispensables.

Le montant de l’adhésion est fixé à 60 euros par an. Il est également possible de faire un don.
